Saudi boy and non-Saudi girl - marriage

   Hello everyone!

I have a lil question.. I have a boyfriend from Saudi Arabia. I'm not Saudi girl. We want to get married but we must have a permissions: one to get married, second to live in Saudi. We know that is very hard to get this permission..maybe  impossible  maybe someone know something about that?

	Sahar- Don't be discouraged about the previous post... My husband is Saudi and we received the permission about 7 months ago. I am an American currently living in Saudi Arabia and everything is going great. I completely understand your situation and frustration. My husband and I knew we wanted to get married for about 6 years but we were both in college and the permission was weighing HEAVILY on our minds the whole time. I don't want to underestimate the difficulty in obtaining the permission as it is VERY complicated and frustrating but it is DOABLE. First of all, if it is your destiny to marry this guy then it will happen so don't give up HOPE. It took my husband a year and a half to do all the required paperwork...it probably could have taken less time if there were competent people working in the Ministry...but Alhamdulliah we are happily married here in Saudi. I promised myself that if and when everything is settled that I would try to share my experiences and knowledge of what this whole journey has entailed. 	Dear Sahar, it is not impossible but it just needed more time. If you love the man, go for it coz TRUE LOVE comes only once in a lifetime, perhaps. Have patience and life in Saudi is completely different from other Islamic countries. Good luck and god bless u happiness.
