In the name of Allah, the Almighty and All-Wise.
In the country I'm currently at, I notice that mosques have different decorative text/graphic elements in the mimbar or around it. Some mosques have nothing written, but some mosques have the Kalimah "لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ" [ Laaa Ilaaha Illa-llaahu Muhammadur-Rasoolu-llaah ]. Some mosques have pictures of minars. Some mosques have pictures of Kaaba. Some mosques have "اللّٰهُ" [Allah] (SWT) on one side and "مُحَمَّدُ" [Muhammad] (SAW) on the other. I'm mostly interested about the word "مُحَمَّدُ" [Muhammad] (SAW). When we prostrate/go to Sajdah the name is in front. I respect prophet (SAW) but I am not sure if I feel right about this. Is it ok to have this? Since there are no common guidelines (that I could find), what if a mosque decides to show "عِيسَى" ['Eesaa] (AS) in and around mimbar? The name is mentioned in the Holy Quran (4:171) and with special importance as "ٱللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۥٓ" and "رُوحٌۭ مِّنْهُ ۖ" reading which someone might want to use it. Our Christian brothers have done things similar to this, and look at where they are now. I'm terrified even thinking about this. May Allah protect us. I searched on the web but couldn't find any resources talking about this. So I'm posting this here in the hope of getting answer. |
