Assalamualikum, I grow up in New York City and I'm so ashamed to say this but I don't know everything about Islam, so I would like to learn everything about Islam, is there any learning center for Women in New York City, because I would like to learn from beginning to end. So please help me I'm 21 right now I don't wanna waste anymore time. Please please please help me!  |

Assalamualaykum There is a big center of Islamic learning in Buffalo, New York called Darul Uloom. You should check out the website it is called madania.org. If you look under audio there are many english lectures by Sheik Ibrahim Memon. I have listened to many of them and they are really good. I hope this helps you. Allah-Hafiz |

Shama, don't be ashamed for not knowing everything. I doubt that any of us here both muslim & non muslims know everything, some times it takes a life time to learn. Just remember that Prophet Muhammed didn't start early in life and when he did start from the moment that Archangel Gabriel visited Muhammed, it took him 23 years to put everything in place. So don't worry if you don't know everything, you'll just stess yourself out unnecessarily, do what you can with what you have and take things slowly. -------------  ~ Our feet are earthbound, but our hearts and our minds have wings ~

Assalamualikum, Thank you everybody for all your help!! I'm so happy that there are people I can actually talk to about this matter. Thank you for your all your kindness  I'm so happy there are Islamic centers I can go to, has anyone go to any of these centers? How was the experience? |

ASA, This is a good site done by br. Yusuf Estes I enjoy their video section and live tv programs as well. http://islamtomorrow.com/ - http://islamtomorrow.com/ You can also use Islamicity's masjid finder http://www.islamicity.com/orgs/ - http://www.islamicity.com/orgs/ the best place to start is at a few masjids close to your home that way you can make some connections with sr's near you. Our masjid has a monthly sr's halaqa that is really nice but most masjids offer different classes etc. Insha'Allah I hope this helps |

Insha Allah u found what u was looking for, but u can also go to any mosque and im pretty sure that they will have some kind of class. You can also get alot of info on Islam on the internet.
