Asalaamu Alalikum warahmatulah wabarakatu

I started to learn Arabic using a program on the internet and it's helped. I'm taking Arabic in September when my last year of High School starts. I just want to know since my teacher is Egyptian, will Arabic speakers who aren;t egyptian understand me just as good?

not sure of that.

However wanted to share, I have been learning arabic at http://www.sunnipath.com - http://www.sunnipath.com Their program is very comprehensive - takes you to understanding of simple hadith, and short quranic ayah in just 3 semesters, alhamdulillah.

If you are focussin on colloqual arabic, then there are so many dialects. A naitive arab should be better informed on that.
