How to change anything!
Clutter bogs us down and affects every area of our lives. In Feng Shui the effectiveness of enhancements for anything: prosperity, relationships or attracting helpful people into our lives, is directly proportional to the amount of clutter we have. Clutter - whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual, is anything that stops us living the life we were born to live - one full of joy, abundance and possibility.

When our lives are expanding and we're growing we are continually creating clutter as we move away from things that dont work for us. Holding onto things is a good way to sabotage ourselves and stay stuck in the past. Clutter will pull us back into who we used to be, which makes lasting change difficult.

The most effective personal growth tool in my opinion is decluttering. When we want to change anything in our lives, start decluttering - it will create space for the new.

These are 5 kinds of clutter how many of these can you relate to?

1. Everyday Clutter: unused, unloved, unnecessary, messy, extra stuff, too much junk food, dust.
Result: emotional constipation.

2. Symbolic Clutter: unconscious negative messages, gloomy artwork, unfinished projects, things that remind you of a bad experience, broken stuff.
Result: energy being pulled downwards.

3. Invisible Cord Clutter: unresolved emotional issues, people/clients who drain your energy, something youre not saying, someone you havent forgiven, incomplete relationships.
Result: you remain attached to the very person you dont want to be attached to.

4. Living in the Past Clutter: books and stuff from a past career or interest, files kept longer than necessary, wedding dress from your first marriage, things kept just in case, clothes you dont fit into any more, old collections.
Result: stops you being fully committed to the present and moving forward.

5. Its in your Mind Clutter: stuff to remember (to-dos and information), stuff to forget (worries and grievances), too much TV, too much busy time, unchallenged beliefs, crowded Inbox.
Result: keeps your mind foggy and stops creativity
