salaams again.
on my point of view: the earth is clear evidence that there is a god.
have you read sura 16, or 13? the Qu'ran is a book of guidence given to us from god . and points not only to his signs given to those whom he chooses as a testemony of him i.e. the prophets. but also the signs that god gives directly to all who will see them. as you have.
whether we should follow one specific religion
the Qu'ran teaches this on the subject:
:83 (Y. Ali) Do they seek for other than the religion of Allah.-while all creatures in the heavens and on earth have, willing or unwilling, bowed to His Will, and to Him shall they all be brought back.
3:95 (Y. Ali) Say: "(Allah) speaketh the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans."
4:125 (Y. Ali) Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For Allah did take Abraham for a friend.
9:18 (Y. Ali) The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.
2:277 (Y. Ali) Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
5:12 (Y. Ali) Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my apostles, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."
9:11 (Y. Ali) But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.
13:22 (Y. Ali) Those who patiently persevere, seeking the countenance of their Lord; Establish regular prayers; spend, out of (the gifts) We have bestowed for their sustenance, secretly and openly; and turn off Evil with good: for such there is the final attainment of the (eternal) home,-
9:71 (Y. Ali) The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practise regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.
or whether there is a god that is involved in daily human affairs.. is another story, and one of which i am not too confident in,
are you not now seeking knowledge and truth? why have you come to Islam to search for what you seek? IS IT BY YOUR WILL ALONE YOUR AT THIS FOURM?
maybe god is more involved in our lives than we think. gods always giving us signs just that some are more visable than others. and some are more subtle.
