Salamunalaykum

I was just listening to a talk, and the scholar said theres a hadith, well a few, but he pointed one in particular oue saying something on the lines of.

the ummah span will not last much beyond 1500 years.

it is narated by Imam Suyuti and imam Hanbal apparently.

I was wondering if someone could find me this hadith in English. Or anything similar to it (another hadith).

Thanks in advance.

Its just speculation based on some Hadiths (dont know how authentic these Hadiths are).....

http://seekingilm.com/archives/671 - The Age Span of the Muslim Nation (Ummah)...

.....but Allah says -

"Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghaib (unseen) except Allah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected." [27:65]

Confused

Thanks but that wasnt the question, im aware no one has knowlegde of the unseen Sleepy do people have to parrot such things as this, making presumptions all the time?

Im not here to argue the authenticity of hadiths vs right and wrong, esp if such great people have transmitted it.

I was asking if anyone has the hadith in English, simple as that.

Thanks anyway.

The Hadiths you asked are in the link I gave above. As for parroting Allah's Words, aint a bad thing. You maybe knowing this but benefits those who dont.
