Play station games sometimes are dangerous for our kids.

But I believe we shouldn't prevent them from playing,
The stricture does nothing but turning the things into the worst. On the other hand, we are asked about them in front of Allah, the Merciful. So we should supervise them and watch them without their notice.
Brothers and sisters of Islam I would like to warn of this game: Silent Hill3 for play station 2

This game mocks the religion. It consists of many wrong aspects of God and believers of Allah. During the game, you will transfer from an area to another to observe the whole place is full of violence and blood . Walls and grounds are covered by blood. You see a child whom her father was killed by a monster and her mission is to take the revenge before the whole city turns into a real" hell".    That is ,as what you will be told, because of what they consider God. They tell you that this is what the God's' done so we have to kill him. And because we don't have the complete freedom. At the end, you come across a very ugly thing born to a very wicked priestess in the church . Something I can't even describe or look at and at the moment the heron said this is God. After she kills it you see that the city becomes normal again.

I hope every Muslim sees this and even Christian warn others of this game.

If shaykh Saud al oil fawzani did not issue a fatwa saying it is illegal then who are we to make it wrong? LOL joking Big%20smile

But anyway, kids should not be playing silent hill in the first place. I think its an 18.

And hmmm, its just a game, i dont think it will turn people atheist over night, but i remember playing halo, there was something weird about that game, was very violent, i did not want to play it, but something other then the game kept me on it :S so i guess your right in a way, its freaky.

But anyway let them out abit and enjoy the sun, maybe they will find an alternate like football, swiming, kite flying etc.

I meant children playing this game not mature people. I myself enjoy playing games with great violence and blood but no to be done by what they consider God .In our city this game is very popular and it is played the most by teens. Also this game has a series of about 5 parts. I didn't mention any part except "3". They wanted to mock religion and any one who believes in it. And this is not the first game which mocks religion. Don't you remember
Da Vinci Code . Why didn't chritaian people say it is just a game? Why did they fight against it??

Hmm..I must be old fashioned or something or perhaps cannot understand why anyone would want to play violent PS games. That includes both children and adults. So I am surprised Full of Hopes that you like these blood and violence games. I will go as far to say that blood and violence films for the sake of titilation is also to be included in the list. I just don't see the attraction, sorry.

For myself, I neither allow my children to indulge in these practices as I have never done so myself. Somehow it just makes sense to abstain from this.

I am kind of reminded of Arnie Swarznegger who acted in violent films, yet after having kids decided it was not suitable to continue to do so.

I am also reminded of the sad case of Jamie Bulger, the very young boy who was murdered in 1993, by two 10year old boys that indulged in playing suspect games, namely Child's Play where Chucky the doll was an evil object...which resulted, in real life, of these boys abducting and murdering the defenceless boy. I am convinced that had the parents supervised their activities then Jamie would have been alive today.

Personally if a film or game is not suitable for  kids then I also will not watch or play it. I expect my kids sometimes feel their mother is a fuddyduddy, but they do not question me as they know I'm right, lo.

But I guess we are all different.

SteppeNomad is right...let them go outside and enjoy some healthy pursuits...lets add adults to that list too shall we?

you are 100% right. No one should play voleint games. I try not to play them infront of my younger sisters and brothers. But for me I know I am doing somethings wrong but I can't stop myself from playing. I don't enjoy the kill or blood but I really enjoy the silence, the fear and the mystrey. I know I have to stop but you can see my post on the sisters section (born in Islam) you will understand more.
I am not married to have kids to take them out. That is it!
Just a game I knew and wanted to warn others. Jazakum Allah Khairn

Aslama ALaikum,

About 15 years ago I spent a bit of time playing Doom.. quite a violent game. Got bored and left.

If you don't get bored.. well...

Maybe take up Scrabble or something

Yeah. Thinking games stimulate the brain and raise up the I.Q. You have got a point in that, sister Hayfa.

I think these are the best games for kids and for us
