One day Nasrudin Hoca lost his donkey. Nasrudin went all over the village looking for his donkey. He got the entire village evolved in searching for the donkey. At the end of the day the villagers came to Nasrudin's home to tell him that his donkey could not be located. They found him sitting on his prayer rug in deep contemplation and thanking Allah for all His blessings. The villagers said, "Nasrudin what are you thanking Allah for? We have searched all over the village and we believe your donkey is lost for ever." Nasrudin replied, "That is exactly why I am thanking Allah! Can you imagine what would have happened if I was sitting on the donkey!" |
