Hello, Assalamualaikum...
Recently I've read a book named "Quran Bible and science" by Maurice Bucaille. Thowugh it has published many years ago. I have read the book in Bangla version. I like the book very much. The book proves Qur'an is the best book of the universe. But I would like to know- is there any missing or change in translation from the main language. Anyone can share the knowledge...?

wa'alikum assalam, I really don't know. But here's a copy in English and it was reviewed by Dr Bilal Phillps. http://d1.islamhouse.com/data/en/ih_books/single/en_The_Quran_and_Modern_Science_colored.pdf - http://d1.islamhouse.com/data/en/ih_books/single/en_The_Quran_and_Modern_Science_colored.pdf
"Short Discription: The Quran and Modern
Science: This book has statements of a scientific nature contained in
the Quran and other subjects to specialists from other disciplines.
Astronomers, zoologists, geologists and specialists in the history of
the earth would all have been struck, just as forcibly as medical
doctors, by the presence in the Quran of highly accurate reflections on
natural phenomena."

There are scientific mistakes in both books, unfortunately.

It's interesting to note that Bucaille never became a Muslim plus he was a medical doctor and not necessarily competent in everything scientific. In fact it is not difficult to show that the majority of so called scientific miracles are presumed on simple logical fallacies.

Can you give some examples of what science has come from such books?

Majority ?
I've seen not even one single exception to this rule so far!

http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Scientific_Errors_in_the_Quran
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Compendium_of_Muslim_Texts - Qur'an http://www.usc.edu/org/cmje/religious-texts/quran/verses/036-qmt.php#036.040 - 36:40
Some apologists try to explain away the Qur'anic description of the
sun moving in an orbit as a reference to our sun orbiting the black hole
at the center of the milky way galaxy every 225 million years. This is
an http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_hoc_hypothesis - Ad hoc hypothesis ,
of no relevance to human time scales, and nothing from the text implies
that the sun is orbiting anything other than the earth. If the author
had knowledge of the sun orbiting a black hole then it is conspicuous
that he never mentions it explicitly nor in any way differentiates the
sun's orbit from that of the moon.
In the Qur'an, the moon and the sun orbit the earth together.
There is no distinction made between the moon, which actually revolves
around the earth, and the sun which only appears to revolve around the
earth when in fact the sun's apparent movement through the sky is a
product of the rotation of the earth around its axis. | And this is the one I think is best;
Permanent Barrier between Fresh and Salt Water
Main Article: http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Meeting_of_Fresh_and_Salt_Water_in_the_Quran - Meeting of Fresh and Salt Water in the Quran
When a fresh water river flows into the sea or ocean, there is a
transition region in between. This transition region is called an http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/estuary - estuary
where the fresh water remains temporarily separated from the salt
water. However, this separation is not absolute (thus cannot be
described as a "barrier"), is not permanent, and the different salinity
levels between the two bodies of water eventually homogenize. The Qur'an
however erroneously says that the seperation between the two types of
water is absolute and permanent.
It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing
water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has
He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. |
Ever been to the sea side?

The book can't prove that the Quran is the best book of the universe, because the Quran isn't a science book describing the universe. The Quran talks about faith and beliefs, not about science. The same applies to the Bible. The origin of science is with the Greek, rediscovered in Bagdad and Cordoba and other places. Then on to the modern period. Bucailleism is pseudoscience like astrology, numerology and other esoterical nonsense.
If you love science please read real science books.
