A Muslim boy I was at college with said that the only "real"women in heaven would be family members of the Prophet because women did not have souls and therefore there was nothing of a woman to exist after the death of the body. He insisted that the 'women in Paradise' were something more like angels, there as part of the "rewards" of Paradise for men. (He also insisted that he was'Persian', not 'Iranian'.) Where did this idea come from?

This idea comes from those blasphemers called the Shia'a.

Grax, welcome! Ask the Muslim boy to provide textual evidence for his claim.

Abu Loren, what is your evidence that, "this idea" (women not having souls) comes from Shia'a doctrine.

Ah, the Persian boy's words were 40+ years ago LOL! I am happy not to still know him, too!
I am also interested that this is IDed as a Shiaa idea.
