I am currently going through a very tough time in my marriage.
My parents don't have a very good view of my wife, because the way she has reacted to them on a couple of occasions.
I feel she overreacted one night and just panicked for no reason when she phoned her uncle and auntie, because I was suggesting to her to get rid of the fotoeus (assumingly she was pregnant) as she might be pregnant, but this has not yet been confirmed., her uncle and auntie took her away from my parents home where we lived).
I begged her not to call any one ,as I knew it may stir trouble between the families and break our family pride, but she didn't listen and she phoned her uncle and auntie, and she cried on the phone, when they came this caused really massive and heated argument between them and my parents
I only suspected she was pregnant because she had missed her periods, so I only said to her to get rid of it some how, I;e by taking after morning tablets or go to the doctor etc
So my parents and I don't have a very good view of her uncle and auntie who have been heavily involved to stay with her as her parents are living abroad.
I really love my parents, but I also have to be committed to my wife as its my responsibility.
Do you believe my wife did over react by calling her uncle and auntie, Please advise what is the best thing to do in this situation? and what would any of you do?

Generally speaking married couples are overjoyed with the news of a pregnancy. Why have you responded to your wife in such a manner when the possibility of a pregnancy arises?

I can see why your wife is very upset with you and your family.
Why do you want to noy have a baby?

Assalam Alikum,
Fight happens between couples and when it happens Women are the soft target of Shaitan and that is the reason woman does not have the right to say talaq to finish the marraige but they have to ask for Khula when she is in proper state of her mind. relation with parents is a devine relation but relation with your wife is the most dear to Allah. so be just and try to solve this using example of Prophet S.A.W.
Hadith:
Narrated Aisha (raa): That Allahs Apostle (saws) said to her, I know when you are pleased with me or angry with me.
I said, Whence do you know that?
He said, When you are pleased with me, you say, No, by the Lord of Muhammad, but when you are angry with me, then you say, No, by the Lord of Abraham.
Thereupon I said, Yes (you are right), but by Allah, O Allahs Apostle, I leave nothing but your name.
