Assalamu Alaikum,
The month of Ramadhan is around the corner!
Anyone who reads about the special virtues of Ramadhan will know that this is an exciting time for every Muslim. Why?...
Ramadhan is not to be viewed as a burden or an obstacle to surmount... it is a GIFT from Allah SWT to this nation... because every good deed, however small, is MAGNIFIED. In other words: you offer small sacrifices (food, drink, time, ego, pride, temper...etc)... and in return get HUGE rewards.
I am really interested to find out what things other Muslims on here do in Ramadhan.
There have been some good posts in the past. Examples:

What about the early Muslim generations?
Ma’ali bin Fudail said, ‘They used to ask Allah the Almighty six months before Ramadhan to grant them long life so that they could reach Ramadhan and they used to ask Allah the Almighty six months after Ramadhan to accept their fasting’.
That's how important was Ramadhan to them.
