I have a simple question:
Is, or is not, Zionism equivalent to Messianic Judaism? That is, does, or
does not, Zionism amount to a claim -- right or wrong, wrong or right --
that today, with the return of Jews to Canaan, is the Messianic Era
that is fulfilling the Messianic OT prophecies?
As a corollary, please note that the OT, to my knowledge, foretells
one Messianic age. Therefore, if Zionism does amount to a claim
that today is the Messianic era, that would amount to an aggressive
and active denial that any other period has ever been the Messianic
period.
Is this, or is it not, the case?
Note, for the record, I do not now, nor will I ever, advocate the spilling of
any of Father Abraham's blood. That is, I do not now, nor will I ever,
assume the authority to stare Father Abraham in the face and tell him I
have the right to spill his blood in the veins of his sons and daughters.
"Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to
the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will
bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will
bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and
all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Gen. 12:1-3)
I would, however, like to know who is, and who is not, truly doing
honour to Father Abraham and carrying forward his standards and
banners in true Rightwiseness (Righteousness).
