Subject: Doctors Visit
Date Posted: 12 May 2006 at 9:45am

Today I went in for a routine visit to my doctor over a minor problem.  There is now some concern that two separate and major problems could be wrong.  I was shocked.  Each thing is completely unrelated to the other and both could potentially be very serious.  I will be undergoing alot of tests over the next few weeks.  I would like your prayers.  If God is willing, these are minor problems sending up unnecessary alarms.  If not, I will be needing the prayers even more.  I really don't want to go into both, one could be simple stress and its the least of the two I'm worried about at this time.  The second could be breast cancer.  I may not be around very much because of these problems.  I'm pretty depressed right now at the thought of potentially having cancer just as I was about to go back to the fertility specialist.  I suppose I'm not meant to be a mother in this life.  Please keep me in your prayers.

Angie

PS, the jerk who was beating my friend got a year in jail yesterday.

Dear sister,I know you have been thrown for a loop right now,and your initial feelings are quite understandable. But please, get ahold of yourself. The human mind is as strong as any medicine or doctor.(Though I am not saying do not seek medical attention). Pray, think on the positive.VISUALIZE yourself healthy. I'm very big on the power of juicing for the health of my body. Look into getting a juicer (I recommend "The JuiceMan Jr.")This will help you strengthen your body.Carrot-Apple-Parsely Juice is a POWERFUL juice to fight cancer.,and it's so tasty too. Start detoxifying your body.My heart and prayers are with you sister. Moona

 Bismillah,

We will keep you in our prayers, dear Sister Angela.  ISA you will heal and grow stronger (maybe with special juices as well as the prayers) each day.  Exercise and juice might make you stronger for whatever lies ahead, and they are helpful tools to pull us out of depression.  Turn to Allah for solace and strength, and you will find it, ISA.

A year IN jail?  Al-Hamdulilah.

Dear Angela,

I will certainly remember you in my prayers!  Try to relax, think pleasant thoughts, and be good to yourself.  (I once had a similar scare, and required a biopsy.)  Turned out to be nothing other than "lumpy breasts".  What a relief that was!  But I fully understand your apprehension.  Our God is a mighty God.  He WILL take care of you.

God's Peace Always,

Patty

Angela,

If you are drinking anything with caffine in it, stop now. Look at your foods and see if there is caffine there. I also had a similar scare there too. Taker care and I will pray for you!

NOOooooo, not my Caffiene!?!?!?!?  I quite smoking 2 years ago and drinking at the same time, as well as non herbal tea and coffee.  I've been on a new diet for 3 weeks... (lost 3 lbs, ), but I would just die without my Pepsi.

Bismillah,

Yes, your caffeinated pepsi too!

But you meant non-caffeinated tea and coffee though, right?

(Chocolate has caffeine too...)

LOL! Actually, I do not think Choclate would hurt anything, unless you eat it in mass quantity. Fiber Cystic Breast disease is usually what "lumps" in your breasts are. Caffine makes these grow, wherever it is in your body. This is why I was saying to cut out your caffine. I did that and mine went away :) It was just a suggestion. So if you feel inclined, by all means, go on a choclate eating binge, if you have a mind to :) Dark Choclate is better for you than milk choclate......

selam aleykum.

today i visited my gynaecologist again, it's about 2 years i'm doing it. and no one can find any reason for the absence of my minstruation. i work in cellphone company, in IT Dep, i work with PCs & servers, at nights and noons by 12hours. how you think, may my job be the reason of my problem? this started in sep2004 after i began working in may2004. it got treated in june2005 but in jan2006 it stopped again.

May Shafi bless us all with physical and moral healths.

Sister,

I do not believe those are the causes, but also look at your stress level and sleep cycles.  These can severly affect your menstration.  Also, I went 3 years undiagnosed for my PCOS.  Have they done an internal ultrasound?  That's how mine was found.

(On my front, they biopsied on Friday, I should know the results on Thursday or Friday of this week)

uhfff.. so should i take hormones(contraceptives) anyway? stress? who on earth does not have stress? everyone does. but only me do not have menstration as every normal girl :(. i don't have holidays in prayers every month like every normal muslim girl:(. i feel myself a male by doing 5time prayers continously, without any rest every month:( hehe:P. so i'm afraid to think of marriage.

Posted By: Angela
Date Posted: 31 May 2006 at 2:13pm

Well, some of the most painful problems can be treated with dosages of contraceptives.  They can force your cycles to regulate.  My doctor had me on contraceptives for about 2 years before I became sexually active.  As long as I was a verifiable virgin my insurance covered the BCPs as treatments for my endometriosis (I know I butchered that spelling).

Stress is a big factor.  Do Tai Chi, Yoga, or as one friend likes to do, Dikhr Walks.  She goes for a walk and recites the names of Allah until she reaches 500, then returns, by the time she's arrived at home, she's done 1000....she always feels much more at peace afterwards.

Also, Bubble Baths....long bubble baths with scented candles, music or peaceful sounds like those Nature CDs.....take at least 30 minutes to an hour of me time everyday (easier done without kids. or siblings around)

Tai Chi can be done fully clothed and you don't have to worry about men gawking...and there are alot of women's only Yoga and Pilatte's classes.

Well, I got my results from the Biopsy.....no cancer.  They aren't quite sure yet what exactly is causing it, but its benign.  Alhamdulilah!

Thank you for all your prayers and support.  Its been rough, but now I can look onto July and my visit with the fertility specialist without worry.

Angela,

See, I told you everything would be fine... Al HamdilAllah.

My mom used to get fibrous cysts that would have to be removed and biopsied. The first few were really scary, but then she got used to them and it was no big deal. She's still alive and kicking and has both her breasts. Of course, they ain't what they used to be, but they are still there....

This is the begining. You have to prepare yourself mentally for long waits at the doctors office for appointments, tests, results, cycles, home tests , samples et al.

I am in the health sciences and presonally know 2 couples who went through the fertililty thing. Both couples experienced extreme anxiety and stress. I do not want to scare you but sadly this is the scene.

Be patient! you will come through this with a baby inshaAllah that will make all of it worthwhile.

I dont know if you are upto trying the honey/cinnamon cure. I heard a lot of success stories about it.
