I am somewhat puzzled to see that the inappropriate behavior of one individual can cause an entire topic to be closed.  What was a lively, peaceful, enlightening discussion was turned into a travisty by one person.  I am referring to the Topic of "The Crucifixion of Jesus is a Lie".  Why don't you simply deny access to the one who is creating the chaotic situation?  Can you explain your decision to close the topic to me please?  Thank you for your response.

God's Peace,

Patty

This thread was closed because of a number of infractions.

There are still 3 open threads discussing the very same topic of crucifixion with the very same posters writing virtually the very same thing, minus most of the insults.

How many threads discussing the crucifixion do we really need?

"Why is this person continually allowed by the moderator(s) to insult Christians and their beliefs?  We are very careful not to say anything which would be considered an insult to Islam.  Why is that not reciprocated on this board?  Are you people still teenagers?  Are you unable to behave like adults and carry on adult dialogue and debate?  If not, for what reason do you even have this topic on your board?  I personally think if Allah is all you claim, He must be extremely saddened to see and read the words of some Muslims here.  Did Allah tell you to insult and disrespect Christians and their religion?  (I hope I haven't just answered my own question here.)"

Patty, you wrote this on the first page of the very thread I have closed. Now you are complaining that I closed it. ?????

You say that: "We are very careful not to say anything which would be considered an insult to Islam."

Yet, our Prophet was actually called "the Anti-Christ" by one of the people you have aligned yourself with. He has also made numerous other slanderous and inappropriate remarks that I have not deleted. Then you guys have the nerve to come here and complain that we are not being fair and that Muslims must be immature because Christians would never behave this way.

I have been on Christian sites. They engage in Islam-bashing and I would never be allowed to state that Jesus was a false Prophet and the Anti-Christ with impunity. To say this would be allowed is a falsehood, yet you and your friends throw out this argument to try and make us feel ashamed or less than "fair" if we stop it here, on our ISLAMIC website.

Yes, this is an ISLAMIC website. It doesn't have to be "fair" to people who want to denigrate our Prophet or our religion. There is no fairness here in that regard. I, as a Muslim will not allow anyone to speak such a way about the Prophet Mohammed, Islam, or Allah(SWT).

Can you tell me who that would be?  I certainly did not ever call Muhammed the Anti-Christ.  Stupid!  But I've know how you it makes you feel.  I've had to sit by and listen to "supposedly Christian people" call the Holy Father (the pope), the anti-Christ.  Ignorance abounds, Mishmish.  We can't stop it...we can choose to confront those who say such insulting and inaccurate things, or we can come back to them with equally insulting comments......or we can do as Jesus said and, "turn the other cheek".

Peace Always Wins, Mishmish!

Hi Mishmish,

I think you have every right to close any thread you deem inappropriate, this is afterall your website.  Thanks for pointing out the three other crucifixion threads.  To me that shows you know what's going on here and that the closing of one derailed thread does not impact the discussion on that particular topic, and is therefore a fair action on your part.

I do want to point out one thing though.  I think that one of the things that our faiths share is respect for others.  I think that it should be demanded of both Christians AND Muslims to be respectful to one another.  I don't think you should allow anyone here to be disrespecful of either fatih.  Therefore if you will delete a post that is disrespectful to Christianity, you should also delete a post that is disrespectful to Islam.

Or delete neither.  I would think that people on this forum know by now that the misdeeds of one or few does not make the whole religion bad, just that one particular individual.  Do not forget that as humans we do not always perfectly follow the teachings of our faiths.

Peace,

Andrea
