I came to this board in good faith in an attempt to learn what Islam is really all about. My expectations were that this forum would provide mature and respectful exchanges of conversation and dialogue on a variety of topics. I was wrong. People of other faiths are not really accepted here by any means. There is no equality, and I find this extremely disappointing. I had thought better of your religion and culture. However, after many days of being respectful and courteous regarding your beloved religion and prophet, I have learned that it is a one way street. Although there are some who I believe would like to show more parity, but don't out of fear of repercussions. For this reason I will take what I have learned (most has been negative because of such a lack of respect and horrendous rudeness which is allowed by some immature Muslims.) I had heard (but did not believe) that a Muslim will always stand up for another Muslim no matter what the issue. I did not believe this! I was wrong. This has been one of the toughest lessons I have had to learn, and I have had to accept that I am truly hated by Muslims.....for no reason other than that I am not Muslim. May Allah/God richly bless each of you and grant you great wisdom. ------------- Patty I don't know what the future holds....but I know who holds the future. |

Sister,please do not leave the court to the agitaters,to the negative persons,we know the problems inside and make our war,won't you help us?...is this the thing we learnt from prophets,Jesus(a.s.) leaving the zone to the others who are lack of tolerance and high level discussions...please...please...please...do not make them smile,turn back and keep up writing... |

dear Patty,
if it's the way you live, you must have left this world very before. there are always rude people, kind people..no matter in islam or not. but this "bye" shows only your weakness. sorry, but it's the fact i have faced too, in recent months seeing stupid muslims i 've never expected. you should know that "stars have meaning in dark nights", so if you think you care about yourself and are better than those you are talking about then show it here. and i apologise and am sorry for them. luck |

Patty There are always some people, specially on the internet where they can hide behind an alias, who try to act as show spoilers. These people, in my opinion, have no sense of right and wrong. They are driven by their own ethno-centric ideas and beliefs. They donot represent the Muslims. They represent only their own ugly inner selves. I am sure you will find such idiots, more or less, in every community and forum. Take comfort from the following verse of Quran [5:69] "Those who believe, and those who are Jewish, and the Sabiens, and the Nazarenes; whoever of them believes in God and the Last Day and does good works, then they will have nothing to fear nor will they grieve." Therefore donot fear them and donot be grieved on what they say. Patty, There are always a few bad apples. Christian, Jew and Muslim here. Please, stay. I was so happy to have another sane Christian on this board. Please don't go. All they see here are evangelicals trying to save their soul by bringing them to Christ or hatemongers here to bash Islam. They need more people like us who are good Christians and yet respect their beliefs and Prophet. God Bless you, Angela |

Sorry you feel offended and are judging a beautiful faith by being offended by a website where humans are just that, human. Before you totally reject the faith, I suggest that you visit a mosque near you on a Friday Jummah session and meet the sisters. You will be amazed. Those are the real Muslims. At that times when the verse was revealed all Jews and Christians had not converted to Islam, and they were following thorah and bible Till then they followed what was revealed before quran and ofcourse theyhad to believe in one Allah and be rightious Later when the order came to follow Quran and Prophet Mohdammed pbh They all had change and those who did not are non believers

Brother Salman, You must understand that there are many things that we will disagree on. I agree with Brother Suleyman's view. That is also what I learned when I reverted to Islaam. YOU can worship Allah as an unforgiving god, but to me, He is All-Merciful to all of us. Only Allah, The All-Knowing knows what is in anyone's heart, and He is our Protector and Judge. I think the problem that Patty is talking about is endemic amongst all politco-religious message boards. I've gone onto pro-U.S. message boards. I'd get lambasted, get called racist names and threatened. I used to call myself Malcolm X and you won't believe the number of private messages with the 'N' word I'd get. I used to think that this discussion forum was a bit more progressive than that, but you can tell by the dwindling number of Jews and Chirstians that frequent this site that I may be wrong. |
