"Angela's Plan" seems all to strange to me. the posts of some members encouraging angela's plan also seem strange or vague. (especially the post saying she 'met with a friend who knows an ex-prime minnister of an Islamic country). we know that the bush administration labled a lot of countries overseas as 'Supportive of Terrorists' and possible 'Threat to US". Although I firmly disagree with these labels, nonetheless we muslims should be cautious of what we say or do about our muslim countries.
vague behaviors like the ones in "Angela's Plan" could catch national security agancie's attention. Before you know it, you've got a lawyer using his favorite phrase against muslims: "they are supporting the terrorists"
developing a plan to accomidate the problems of Iraq is done with scholars and professional individuals in grassroots organization who've been dealing with Muslim issues overseas for years. If they'd like to propose this plan of 'foreign affairs' to learned individuals within CAIR or other simmilar organizations, that would be best. they would have full support and even better, a strong backbone to work with.
If this forum is already being supervised, then you guys know best what to do.

I understand where you coming from sis but for america to be alarmed by this plan, there need to be some sincere trustworthy muslim leaders among the ummah. Well in this time that rare breed is gone in hybernation, so dont worry

Sister Fatima: I don't really understand this reply to the above post. What is a "rare breed? please. Perhaps you would prefer to send me a PM as I am truly confused. I have posted my own reply on Angela's Plan if anyone is interested. I can assure you there is nothing "vague" about our "behaviours": we (as such as "we" are - I'm not sure I like being railroaded into the collective pronoun since for me "we" means something infinitely larger - )"Angela's Plan" is simply considering possible, viable options, and, may I add, trying to keep them visible here for anyone who is interested. It began here. It was "inspired" here if you like. How many times do the reasons for removal have to be reiterrated? This isn't a Party election. There is no question of "sides". That is simply juvenile in the face of the larger task the world is facing. Please......

I don't believe Angela said that, I believe it was Whisper that mentioned he knew such a person.

Hi cassandra,
It meant that there is no sincere muslim leader around who want to solve ummah's problem, they all there for thier own good. Its our own fault of not following the deen properly which resulted in this humiliation. If we payed the due of being a muslim then no1 in this world would have even looked at us with bad intention.
There is never hidden meaning behind what i say, for me straight truth always works.

Sister Fatima,
The Ummah will be great again one day. I only hope that our little group might be able to find a way, explore options that others might not due to politics. The greatest changes to this world were not by the hands of the men in power, but by the people. My countries existence is a testiment to that power. The sucess of the Ummah in the 7th century. Muhammed (pbuh) was not a man of power, at least not initially in a political sense. He and his companions had to work hard to defeat the Pagans.
Amal,
This is not without trials. I care not who sees what we are doing. I invite all who want to contribute to do so. We have those in our group that have taken the roles of Devil's Advocate. They bring the cynicism and realities to keep us focused on real and viable options. There is no hidden agenda. The NSA, CIA, and Homeland Security already watch this site and many others. They can see all they want. The more people who see what we are doing the better. The message will get out that people are ready for a change. Maybe more people will be inspired to support the groups already in existence. Donate to CAIR, the Carter Center, and other groups. Do we think we are better, no...but we are doing something others are not. We are trying. If 10 people work hard on something, they may inspire 10 more, and those ten, ten more...grassroots campaigns work like dominoes. Please, join us, don't fear us. We need good, devout Muslims willing to help their Brothers and Sisters. Consider it Zakat of time and of conscience.

there are no sincere muslims who wants to solve the ummah's problem?! I wouldn't expect that to come from a moderator who's role is to overlook discussions and take care of problematic issues.
first of all i think that is a very ignorant thing to say. second of all, what you said gives me a bad picture of the moderators moderating the forums of islamicity, letting me question thier professionalism and or thier seriousness. I hope this picture is wrong.
Angela was the only person who spoke proficiently, understanding my consern and assuring me of safety and courage.
Its been about two weeks since I joined islamicity. In the upcomming weeks, I hope i'll be impressed with my muslim siblings more than i'll be dissapointed of them.

The Ummah will be great again one day. InshaAllah it will angela, inshaAllah it will because promise of my Lord is always true. Its just i became too impatient, may Allah swt forgive me for that. But i cant find it in me to take any more of that, a new target among ummah every day, i just cant.
Sister amal please dont make my shortcomings as an overall picture of moderators here. MashaAllah they are very serious, devoted and learned individuals who are trying thier best.
Now let me correct one small thing, i said 'no sincere muslim leader', meaning people who are in power in thier coutries. And i stand by that stance, I am not a professional but i am dead serious about this sister. If even one single muslim ruler was sincere then they try atleast in thier capacity to bring about islamic laws in thier country. They try to wake the brotherhood up in the ummah. They make the defence of our countries upto date. They stand up to the bulling of america, west and israel. Please do correct me if i am wrong but its not happened in past century.
Now saying that even a common muslim including myself and my family are not what we should be. I know about pakistan so i will give you an example from thier. Majority of people there, vote some1 because they know them or because they expect help from them in future or they recieve money from them. Majority of pakistani 'Muslims' dont want an islamic party to come into power because they are going to limit thier freedom. We dont speak about wrong because it is done by our kin. We bend the law for rich and ruler. We cant miss an event because thats rude but we can easily miss a prayer. We muslims have made classes among ourselves. Sister the lists goes on and on and on. Yes it looks bad, but closing your eyes dont solve a matter. You start doing a right thing by admitting that you were on wrong.
I am sorry if my attitude disappoints you but when i fall short or do some thing wrong i know its my fault. When i see other people do that i want them to see what they doing is wrong thats the start of a change. How many muslim rulers might have lost thier sleep watching whats happening to our brethern in middle east? Did any of them picked up the phone and called Mr Bush to ask how and why did there was a vito against a petition against israel? You know what sister when you smell stinch from your body sort it out not hide it under a thick duvet.

May Allah give us a keen sence of vision and wit, may allah return the Muslims to their true deen a beautiful return, and may Allah make the Muslims victorious.
Ameen,
