Alan Cole and Carlton Barrett
Bob sets to music the speech presented to the United Nations by H.I.M Haile Selassie. http://www.bobmarley.com/life/rastafari/war_speech.html - Selassie's plea for human rights now created the most powerful anti-racist statement.
WAR
Until the philosophy which holds one race
Superior and another inferior
Is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned
Everywhere is war, me say war
That until there is no longer first class
And second class citizens of any nation
Until the colour of a man's skin
Is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes
Me say war
That until the basic human rights are equally
Guaranteed to all, without regard to race
Dis a war
That until that day
The dream of lasting peace, world citizenship
Rule of international morality
Will remain in but a fleeting illusion
To be pursued, but never attained
Now everywhere is war, war
And until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
That hold our brothers in Angola, in Mozambique,
South Africa sub-human bondage
Have been toppled, utterly destroyed
Well, everywhere is war, me say war
War in the east, war in the west
War up north, war down south
War, war, rumours of war
And until that day, the African continent
Will not know peace, we Africans will fight
We find it necessary and we know we shall win
As we are confident in the victory
Of good over evil, good over evil, good over evil
Good over evil, good over evil, good over evil

Thank you.
Bob was assassinated to stop his rising influence on so-called Third World politricks. This was part of an undeclared war by white nations to break the unity of all Black people globally that was taking place in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. The result was that people like Patrice Lamumba, Steven Biko, Sadat, Marley, Malcolm X, Martin King and many many others were killed because white nations knew that the "body" (Pan-Africanist Movement) could not survive without its "head".

Bob Marley
"I want to say 'I shot the police' but the government would have made a fuss so I said 'I shot the sheriff' instead... but it's the same idea: justice." Bob, Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh never blended and complemented each other better than in this timeless testimony of innocence and defiance from the Burnin album. 'If I am guilty I will pay!'. The song also provided Eric Clapton with a number one hit in America, drawing attention to Marley's extraordinary songwriting talents. The versions from Live! and Talkin' Blues were recorded from an extraordinary two night engagement in the summer of 1975 at the Lyceum Ballroom in London; the version on Talkin' Blues is taken from the first of the two concert nights.
I shot the sheriff, but I didn't shoot no deputy
Oh, no, oh
I shot the sheriff, but I didn't shoot no deputy
Ooh, ooh, ooh Yeah
All around in my hometown
They're tryin' to track me down, yeah
They say they want to bring me in guilty
For the killing of a deputy, for the life of a deputy
But I say, oh, now, now...
Oh, I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self defense
Ooh, ooh, ooh
I said, I shot the sheriff, Oh Lord
And they say it is a capital offense
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Hear this
Sheriff John Brown always hated me
For what I don't know
Ev'ry time I plant a seed
He said, "Kill it before it grows."
He said, "Kill them before they grow."
And so, oh, now, now,
Read it in the news
I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self defense
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Where was the deputy?
I said I shot the sheriff but I swear it was in self defense
Freedom came my way one day
And I started out of town, yeah!
All of a sudden I saw Sheriff John Brown
Aiming to shoot me down
So I shot, I shot, I shot him down
And I say, if I am guilty I will pay
I shot the sheriff, but I say, but I didn't shoot no deputy
Ooh, no, oh
I shot the sheriff, but I didn't shoot no deputy
Ooo, ooo, ooh
Reflexes had the better of me
And what is to be must be
Ev'ry day the bucket a-go-a well
One day the bottom a-go drop out
One day the bottom a-go drop out
I say, I, I, ...
I, I shot the sheriff, but I didn't shoot the deputy, no
(Repeat)

I will stay as long as I can (I just have to stay away from anything Rehmat posts, that dark hole is sucking the life out of me).
I do hope you find your cool again, or, can at least be content with being uncool!!!
Peace, ummziba.

Sure;but what about the priorities;what about talking at the right place and at right time with the right things;at least ordered right things?...
Blond, when i have first entered to Islam,i have meet with an imam who condemns every parts of the others everyday who does not be liked by him that his negative way made me bored that i delayed starting praying for a year...this is an hard issue, may be we will discuss when we are available...the priorities of islam is so much important;unless it will turn to a sword that will make the persons away from this religion...Wa Salaam.

Parenthetically, I sat with the son of the late Hailie Salassie I, and we spoke of the political struggle in Ethiopia. The end of his families rule was a part of this same drama.
Thank you.

Bob Marley/Curtis Mayfield
Even the title of this song, a simple case for brotherhood, has become a ubiquitous greeting around the world for men of good will. Its words express the essence of Bob's beliefs: global unity, achieved through the spirit of love. The 12" version, from the "Exodus" LP, wasn't released as a single until the "Legend" compilation came out in 1984: then this iconic song became a worldwide smash, spreading Bob's message, continuing his work. The version appearing on Songs of Freedom is a reworking of the 1965 Studio One release, again welded together with Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready".
One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
Hear the children crying (One love)
Hear the children crying (One heart)
Sayin', "Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right."
Sayin', "Let's get together and feel all right."
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One love)
There is one question I'd really love to ask (One heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?
Believe me
One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
As it was in the beginning (One love)
So shall it be in the end (One heart)
Alright, "Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right."
"Let's get together and feel all right."
One more thing
Let's get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (One love)
So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (One song)
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation
Sayin', "One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right."
I'm pleading to mankind (One love)
Oh, Lord (One heart) Whoa.
"Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right."
Let's get together and feel all right.
(Repeat)

Concrete Jungle/Bob Marley
No sun will shine in my day today (No sun will shine.) The high yellow moon won't come out to play (Won't come out to play.) Darkness has covered my light (and has changed,) And has changed my day into night Now where is this love to be found, won't someone tell me? 'Cause life, sweet life, must be somewhere to be found, yeah Instead of a concrete jungle where the livin' is hardest Concrete jungle, oh man, you've got to do your best, yeah.
No chains around my feet, but I'm not free I know I am bound here in captivity And I've never known happiness, and I've never known sweet caresses Still, I be always laughing like a clown Won't someone help me? Cause, sweet life, I've, I've got to pick myself from off the ground, yeah In this here concrete jungle, I say, what do you got for me now? Concrete jungle, oh, why won't you let me be now?
I said life must be somewhere to be found, yeah Instead of a concrete jungle, illusion, confusion Concreate jungle, yeah Concrete jungle, you name it, we got it, concrete jungle now
Concrete jungle, what do you got for me now?

Coming in from the cold/ Bob Marley
In this life, in this life, in this life In this oh sweet life We're coming in from the cold We're coming in, coming in, coming in Coming in from the cold
It's you, it's you, it's you I'm talking to Well you, it's you, it's you It's you I'm talking to now Why do you look so sad and foresaken When one door is closed Don't you know another is open
Would you let the system Make you kill your brotherman No dread no Would you make the system Make you kill your brotherman No dread no Would you make the system Get on top of your head again No dread no Well the biggest man you ever Did see was just a baby
In this life, in this life In this oh sweet life We're coming in from the cold We're coming in, coming in, coming in We're coming in from the cold It's life, it's life, it's life Coming in from the cold We're coming in, coming in, coming in Coming in from the cold
It's you, it's you, it's you I'm talking to Well you, it's you, it's you It's you I'm talking to now Why do you look so sad and foresaken Don't you know When one door is closed Don't you know many more is open
Would you let the system No dread no Would you let the system Get on top of your head No dread no Would you let the system Make you kill your brotherman No dread no The biggest man you ever Did see was once a baby
In this life, in this life, in this life In this oh sweet life We're coming in from the cold We're coming in, coming in, coming in Coming in from the cold We're coming in, coming in, coming in
