Assalamm alalikum If I know I am going to be gone somewhere where I could not pray Ashr prayer, may I do Zuhr and Ashr together at Zuhr time? Just to let you know Allah has blessed me and I will take shahda soon. ------------- Kay |

Salam Kay  thats great about ur shahada btw it can be take anytime u dnt have to have witnesses etc as many ppl think since its between u and Allah and enough is He as a witness. u dont have to be at a mosque etc. as for missing isha, i dunno about that it just depends on the reason i guess but the thing i know for sure is that if ur gonna miss it u pray it after not before it. Also if u miss isha prayer its better to pray it (if u can of course, if ur up at that time) near mid night.

As Salamu Alaikum,
Allah must be first at all times. We were created to worship Him. Everything else comes second. Unless you are traveling, you cannot combine salaah. In no situation is it permissible to not perform the salaah on time. There is always a way if you fear Allah and abide by the rules He has set for us.
If you will be traveling, you should first learn the basics and what is allowed when traveling. Once you are 40 miles away from the border of your home city, you are considered a traveler. In this cause, it would be permissible for you to combine Thuhr and Asr prayers ar Thuhr time.

salam..dear brother/sister..yes u can combine solah providing that u r
travelling(for a good purpose of course)..there is a measurement on how long is the distance required 4 u to combine the solah..if im not mistaken,90km..correct me if im wrong..islam provides ease 4 every hardship..we called it as rukhsah ie hardship bigets facility..by da way,i'll pray 4 u so that u'll find the true light u have been looking for all this while ok

Bismillah...assalaamualaikum Did she take the shahada ? I am sorry if i have missed something here. Shahada comes first, then comes prayer. If she has believed in her heart " la ilaaha illallah....." then yes, she is muslim. only senekerk can clear my confusion. wassalaam

786:ASA What I am saying when you pray and sit(Qada) and read At-tahiyat that ends with " I bear witness that there is no God but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger" this is what I am saying if anybody does salaat the Shahada is part and parcel of the act! To clear up the confusion, I have not officially taken shahada, but Allah knows my heart and Ido believe that there is no other God but Allah and Mohhamud is Allah's prophet. I am learning the the prayers with help from a sister. And I will formally take the shahda in the majiid very soon. ------------- Kay |

Alhamdulillah, your ready if you believe and understand La ilaha ila Allah wa anna Muhammadur Rasulullah. By the way, it is "masjid" not "majid". I'm not sure if you misspelled or not, just to make sure you know correctly. |

Just a note, Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is allah's Messenger (rasool) along with being a prophet(nabi). There is a difference between the two. Messengers are given new laws , whereas prophets follow the previous messenger's laws.
