Too many sub-forums, no new posts link, and the list goes on.

Come on peeps, IC looks antiquated in comparison to other forums, not to mention incredibly annoying when you're trying to navigate your way through.

I should think you would stop living in the past, miss nomad.  I haven't been to the pond more than once in quite a long time, and it was not to discuss religion at all.  My time has been used more productively to promote mature dialogue and conversations between all religions...and not to insult or degrade anyone.  Never have I insulted Muslims....terrorists, yes I readily admit to that, as have many fine muslims on this site.

As for the pond, as far as I know it's rarely being used.

You assailed me in a private PM and derided me for defending certain posters.

I have to tell you, sister if you are, that the Prophet (pbuh) set the example for us and admonished us to attempt to be peaceful to the "people of the book"

That means that I must not just limit my charity to other Muslims, but those who follow a version of the abrahamic faiths.

So you deride americans, and you yourself are one, I can tell by your use of language and spelling.

So if you wish to be really welcome by many, then desist from the labeling and name calling. I am sure you comprehend what I am stating.

And this forum is fine. Its not hip hop top as you would prefer, but it works!

Dear Miss Nomad: I am intersted as why you should bring the Pond into your equation, and Colin in particular. Colin is/was a bridge builder, on the Pond and IC both.  Your point, lacks....well...a point.

Um....well...what exactly is your point? Seriously.  If you have suggestions as to how this Forum (or the Pond if you wish which, by the way is not by any means "Islamophobic", being co-run by a Muslim and a man with a very open mind) should be run then maybe we have a discussion to work on.

Sister, I couldn't said better.  I was silent reader for long time. Now, I'm relatively new to this forum. As you said, this is free fall field. The reason is the Liberal Islamic progressive junta that want to disassociate from the Islam we know in Quran and sunnah. They are vicious and coward at the same time. From them, non muslims get royalty treatment beyond accepted norm in Islam. Even if they insult our beloved prophet pbuh the apologist court them on the xpense of real Islam. On the other hand, people who says truth get ganged, shoved by their foot mob ignornat soliders. These unruly die hard liberals take pride to lie, distort, maim the very foundation of Islam.

And the forum see this is other opinion that is part of internal dailoge among muslims. There is no boundaries or rules to observe except lip service of couple of rules to polish the image of website. That is why many members are gone for good.

What truth are you talking about brother? The truth where you make assumptions about your fellow muslims for worst or where you call them cowards. Where you ask questions about their belief or where you derive non-muslims away with your hatred.

You talk about Holy Qur'an and Sunnah and same time don't apply it in your actions. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells us in Holy Qur'an that believers are good to each other, how can you ever think that you can do any good for your fellow brothers and sisters if all you do is play blame game? Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassalam made a brotherhood between muslims and what you think your actions are going to achieve?

I too like sister Marya received the PM, you are supporting a person who is judging people without knowing the first thing about them. What kind of Sunnah are you following brother and in what kind of truth are you supporting the sister?

Lastly the matter of talking ill about Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassalam, you search the forum and find such a post and give us the evidence.

Depends on the perspective, I think. I think some non-Muslim members get preferential treatment over other Muslim members from active Muslim members here. Perhaps, this rankles in the minds of other Muslim members who see this forum as a 'Muslim' forum and don't expect to be insulted here for their beliefs by the non-Muslims.

And yes, I don't like the way Israfil is tolerated in this community while he goes around personally insulting other Muslim members, accusing them to be non-Muslims, calling them names, etc. This despite he has declared in many of his posts he doubts Islam.

I didn't like it too, when Maryah delared/invited Daniel to be an 'honorary' Muslim while he is a professed athiest (as far as I know).

Overall, I am satisfied with the performance of the moderators.

israfil, over time u have insulted many people here. u have belittled me in the past, telling me that my posts were juvenile and telling me that u had pals who were lawyers and u doubt that i was one. u challenged everything i said about who i was. u even went on to say that i use the word "cos" when i mean becos and that i should learn to write in english etc.

ive noticed that u use the same tactics with other users as well. thats not right at all. everyone express themselves differently. obviously my style of writing in this forum is different from the way i would write an assisgnment for my MBA.

its not good to judge and undermine people and have false aires about oneself. no person is above the next, and just becos u can express yourself better in english than someone else it doesnt make u more intelligent or more superior in any shape, form or size.

This is exactly why we are humiliated in this world, we cant let anything go. Once for our Lord's sake if someone wrongs you, you walk away with the intention of forgiving that person.

Brother candid you are right that in many things muslims voices mix up with non-muslims, some times it is ok but other time it is not. There is a saying of Sayyidina Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassalam that preach religion according to understanding of your subject. We need to be carefull that the point does not come where because of our dislikeness they dislike the thing which we are presenting.

I have seen a very beautifull change is brother israfil (he might deny it ) so please let the past stay in its appropriate place.

I am closing this thread because it has no purpose to start with and its even causing a rift between muslims so all the more reason.
