Young, free and single
By Showkat Ali

It's hard being young, free and single
So much freedom and choice to mingle
With the opposite sex
So many choices and stress
Regarding who to choose
Chill and spend time with
More difficult than what to wear

Over twenty on my phone list
Many more I desire every day
Who I just cant resist
Giving the once over
As they pass me on the street
Gyrating their bodies
And catching my fancy

So many of the opposite gender
To mix with
Talk, flirt and date
That's the way it goes
Changing partners every other week
No need to chase and seek
People nowadays quite up front and daring

See them on the tube and street
Staring and not acting discreet
Willing to talk to strangers
Don't care if their parents know
Or they get a bad reputation

Threats of forced marriage no longer work
With the younger generation
Who are experiencing the joys of liberation?
Sexual freedom and abortion
Experimentation and rebellion
Darkening the family name
Nowadays, aint no such thing as shame

Acting like they are bad
Following the hip-hop culture
In dress and behaviour
Words of patois and rap
Needing a good slap
To their ideas and actions
But they don't care
Because they are young free and single

Following the society
And latest trends
From bollywood
And the western culture
Far from Islam
But that's cool
Need an excuse to act like fools

Life is short
And so much to do
Being careful not to get caught
By parents and family
Time flies
And the angel of death arrives
Unexpectedly

So its time to think
Before you chase women and drink
Yourself to oblivion
Face what's obvious
Whilst acting like the kuffar
But still retaining your Iman
Is it enough to be Muslim
And yet you follow the way of the shaytan
With intentions
To change when you get married
And have kids

Wife to cover
Whilst now she dont bother
Both of you to make Hajj
But first you must learn the fatiha
And other surahs
And forget the song lyrics
Which you both memorised
Whilst dancing half naked in a club

May your wish come true?
At least you haven't forgotten completely
That you may be young, free and single
But your life and soul belongs to Allah the almighty
And what you're doing now
Is just to fit in and show
That you're not boring and sad

Brother Israfil,

I love the likes of these two who spend all their nuerotic energy in making us believe as if Islam holds no other content or concen other than just the sexual.

I wonder why he doesn't move to some Islamic society if the "western" societal patterns agitate him so?

Or, could it be a part of some interesting programme to keep the Muslim mind from the real issue in these interesting times?

Is that a theory you're onto brother Whisper? Me thinks you are right!

Otherwise, why would some lot put in so much energy into show us as if the divine has nothing better to do in this entire universe other than keep some young boy's hand from accidentally, touching a woman's in an overcrowded bus.

As if the Divine cares what the "what" you do with your anatomical assets, personal hygene or anything else in that arena. They paint pictures as if the Divine would break into some Samsonian rage and bring the temple down if I touched anything other than Halal Meat and that too if not bought from the Kashmir Supa Mart round the corner!

These matters are regulated to keep our personal and social healths together.

Only some utter idiots could turn these into a song and a dance affair - either for sheer lack of sense or for some other more interesting motivation.

bro Showkat, I like your poem. Don't listen to that bunch. When their parents told them in 1968 that they were going over the top and that things were gonna go wrong, they didn't listen. Why would they listen now?

Our very own Resident Fornication Fantasising Prophet sits as if the Divine has nothing better to do than watering his fantasies!

Crass,

My comment was meant as a joke and no harm to the brother writing his poem. However, it is poorly placed as it shouldn't be in the general forum. Perhaps the moderators would like to make a "poetry" section strictly dedicated to young artists such as this brother. I write poetry myself but I wouldn't want to post it here unless it has a  copyright....LOL

We tolerate a Crassed mind in our midst out of sheer pity for your condition. But, if you step out of line, just once more, to rubbish the fine Islamic concept or Muslim women, we do have the dose required for shaking you out of your ailment.

Just remember that!

Brother, no need to have any more pity on these jokers. I suggest, we should PM contacts of some good shrinks to them. This lot makes a mockery of Islam and of ir Rehmaan.

Your 1968 parents are probably dead by now, but that doesn't change anything, because we know what they thought of you, and of course they were right: You didn't amount to anything then, and you still amount to nothing today. You are truly a generation of vipers.

Thank you for proving my point!

We always take everyone else to be exactly like us. I had long detected your self esteem problem, but had been unable to measure the exact extent till your recent display of such helplessness.

At least I know who exactly my father is, while you are apparently still deluded in believing the lies you were told. Believe me, he didn't just "disappear". They were both drunk that night, and he never told her his real name. That's what happened.

Thank you for the primary clue for such sheer Crassness. I knew, one day you will open up, on my couch and with all these emoticons to mask that real pain.

Go on, please, we are all listening with patience. This might just dumb the pain.

If you keep defending the sexual habits in the West, you'd better accept all the consequences too.

First and foremost, that the white, european race is now "technically" a race of illegitimate bastards coming out of a bunch of drunken whores.

Go one son, we are listening, bathe in your obsessions and we may even break into a laughter. I didn't know you were a European?

By now we all know why you keep your location and everything else hidden. Bastards always like to move in the shadows.

A bastard is someone who is born out of wedlock, that is, to unmarried parents. It's got nothing to do with shadows.

In the next few decades, it will obviously become synomymous for someone of western descent, given the all-out fornication fest going on there.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8LHMFDO0&show_article=1 - Out-of-wedlock births in the United States have climbed to an all-time high, accounting for nearly four in 10 babies born last year, government health officials said Tuesday.

So, nearly 40% of the Americans are now technically born as bastards. As I said, the Americans are rapidly turning into a bastard race. As you can see, "American" will soon be another word for "illegitimate offspring", that is, "bastard".

Are bastards evil persons? Maybe, or maybe not. It doesn't matter.

What matters is that the American fornication fest is changing the makeup of that population. Soon, Americans will be ashamed to say that they are American, because everybody will think they are "bastards", which is now for 40% true, by the way.

I love the innocence of awarding standing ovations to our own selves!

The best poetry is born of some deep madness, not carved by any poll concerns. But, we are always who we are, just best of luck.

In these times, men with pens or even with just a bare pair of hands, could do far better in the field of basic Human Rights like of thos pobre Paquistanos.
