QUICK LESSONS:
Respect towards enemies in times of conflict; Use war as a last resort when all other options have been exhausted; Hold oneself accountable for one's own actions regardless if they were committed by someone else before you or not; Treat people with respect even during times of conflict; Do not take out your anger on innocent people who may have nothing to do with what has happened before you .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the rules of war, specifically regarding the killing of women and children. It is reported on the authority of Sa'b b. Jaththama that the Prophet of Allah said that if there is a night raid against polytheists, then any women or children killed are considered to be from them. This means that they are not innocent bystanders, but rather partakers in their actions and beliefs, so they can be held accountable for their actions as well. This hadith teaches us an important lesson about war - it should only be used as a last resort when all other options have been exhausted, and even then it should only target those who are directly responsible for any wrongdoings or injustices committed against others. We must also remember to treat our enemies with respect even in times of conflict, as this hadith reminds us that we must not take out our anger on innocent people who may have nothing to do with what has happened before us.
