QUICK LESSONS:
Be truthful in your words and honest in your actions . Resist any temptation towards dishonesty . Strive for integrity .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of truthfulness and honesty in our speech. It is narrated by Anas b. Malik that we should always be truthful in our words and honest in our actions. We should not lie or deceive others with our words or deeds as this will lead to a lack of trust between people which can have serious consequences for society as a whole. Furthermore, it teaches us that even if we are tempted to tell a lie or do something dishonest, we should resist this temptation as it will only bring harm to ourselves and those around us in the long run.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said “Truth leads to piety and piety leads to Paradise” which shows how important truthfulness is for Muslims both on an individual level as well as on a societal level. We must strive to be honest with ourselves first before being honest with others so that we can live up to the highest standards set by Allah SWT for us all.
