The Dua of Peace After Prayers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us to end our prayers with a special dua, praising Allah and asking for His peace.

It was narrated from 'Aishah that : After saying the taslim the Messenger of Allah would say: "Allahumma anta as-salam wa minka as-salam tabarakta ya dhal-jalali wal-ikram (O Allah, You are the source of eace (or the One free from all faults) and from You comes peace, blessed are You, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor)".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ صُدْرَانَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ ‏ "‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلاَمُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلاَمُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَالإِكْرَامِ

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Aishah tells us that after saying the taslim, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would say a special dua. This dua praises Allah and asks for His peace. It is important to remember that we should always end our prayers with this special dua as it is an act of worship in itself. We should also remember to thank Allah for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us and ask Him for His mercy and guidance in our lives. By doing so, we can ensure that we are living according to His will and remain close to Him at all times.
