QUICK LESSONS:
Fast in moderation
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the limits of fasting. It was narrated by 'Ata and Ibn 'Umar, who reported that the Prophet said that whoever fasts every day of their life has not fasted. This means that fasting should be done in moderation, as it can become too much for a person to handle if done excessively. It also teaches us to be mindful of our health and wellbeing when engaging in religious practices such as fasting, so we do not overburden ourselves with them.
