QUICK LESSONS:
Read Quran regularly, Fast according to Islamic teachings

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about fasting, which is an important part of Islamic practice. It was narrated by Abdullah bin Amr that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ told him to read the Quran in a month and fast three days a month. However, Abdullah wanted to do more than that so he asked for further advice from the Prophet ﷺ who then suggested fasting one day and not the next. This means that Muslims should alternate between fasting one day and not fasting on another day instead of doing consecutive days of fasting every week or every month. This hadith teaches us that we should strive for excellence in our religious practices while also being mindful of our physical limitations as humans. We should always seek guidance from Allah through prayer when making decisions about how much we can handle spiritually or physically so as not to overburden ourselves with too much at once.
