The Rewards of Fasting

SUMMARY: Fasting for three days of each month is equivalent to fasting for a lifetime and Allah rewards good deeds with ten times the like thereof.

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever fasts for three days of each month, he has fasted for a whole lifetime'. Then he said: Allah has spoken the truth in His book: Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit.

Additionally, Allah rewards good deeds with ten times the like thereof. This means that whatever good deed someone does will be rewarded with ten times its value from Allah.
