This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad sending Muadh to Yemen with instructions on how to collect zakat. Zakat is an obligatory form of charity that Muslims must pay annually as part of their faith. According to this hadith, people who have reached the age of puberty must pay one dinar or its equivalent in maafir. Additionally, for every thirty cattle there should be one male or female tabi', and for every forty there should be one musinnah.
