Give a portion away as charity when you have more than five items such as money, dates or camels.

This hadith explains the requirements for charity according to the Prophet Muhammad. He said that no charity is required on any amount of money, dates, or camels that is less than five. This means that if someone has four Awaq of silver or four Awsuq of dates or four Dhawd of camels then they do not have to give a portion away as charity. However, if they have more than five then they must give a portion away as charity in order to fulfill their religious obligations and help those in need.
