Be generous with your wealth; Be mindful about how much you give away in charity; Fulfill your obligations honestly without overburdening yourself financially; Calculate what you owe accurately when it comes to zakat or other forms of charity .

This hadith explains that charity or sadaqa does not need to be given for small amounts of items such as dates, silver and camels. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that if someone has fewer than five awsaqs of dates, fewer than five awaqs of silver or fewer than five dhawds of camels then they do not need to give any charity from it. This teaches us the importance to be generous with our wealth but also to be mindful about how much we are giving away in charity so that we can still provide for ourselves and our families. It also shows us the importance in being honest when calculating what we owe in terms of zakat or other forms of charity so that we can fulfill our obligations without overburdening ourselves financially.
