Give generously and sincerely without expecting anything in return

This hadith speaks to the importance of giving charity and how it should not be judged based on its quantity. It was narrated that Abu Mas'ud said that when Prophet Muhammad commanded his followers to give in charity, one man gave half a Sa', while another man gave much more than that. However, some hypocrites began to criticize those who gave less than what they thought was enough. In response, Allah revealed a verse reminding them that charity should not be judged by its quantity but rather by the intention behind it. This teaches us an important lesson about giving in charity; we must always remember to give with sincerity and without expecting anything in return as this is what truly pleases Allah.
