EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of interceding on behalf of others. It was narrated by Mu'awiyah bin Sufyan that the Messenger of Allah said, "A man may come and ask for something, and I refuse until you intercede, so that you will be rewarded". In other words, if someone comes to the Prophet asking for something and he refuses them, then if someone else intercedes on their behalf they will be rewarded. The Prophet also said "Intercede and you will be rewarded", meaning that those who take it upon themselves to help others in this way will receive a reward from Allah. This hadith teaches us the importance of helping others in need by advocating or mediating on their behalf. It also reminds us that we should not hesitate to do good deeds as we can expect a reward from Allah in return.
