The Two Groups of Advisers for Rulers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned that every ruler will have two groups of advisers, one which encourages good and discourages evil, and another which tries to corrupt the ruler. Whoever is protected from their evil is indeed protected.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said " The Messenger of Allah said: 'No ruler is appointed but he has tow groups of advisers: A group which urges him to do good and tells him not to do evil, and a group which does its best to corrupt him. Whoever is protected from their evil is indeed protected. And he (the ruler) belongs to the group that has the greater influence over him".

QUICK LESSONS:
Seek advice from wise people who encourage you towards goodness & discourage you from doing wrong things .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith by Prophet Muhammad PBUH explains the importance of having a good group of advisors when it comes to ruling a kingdom or any other form of leadership. He said that there are two types of advisors; one who encourages doing good deeds and advises against bad deeds, while the other group tries to corrupt the leader. He also said that whoever is protected from their evil is indeed protected. This hadith teaches us about how important it is for leaders to have wise advisors who can guide them in making decisions that are beneficial for everyone involved. It also teaches us about how dangerous it can be if leaders are surrounded by people who try to influence them in a negative way and lead them astray from what’s right and just. We should all strive to be part of the first group mentioned in this hadith; those who encourage others towards goodness and discourage them from doing wrong things.
