Imitating Allah's Creations

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) warned against trying to imitate the creations of Allah.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW came from a journey, and I had hung a curtain on which there were images over a niche. He took it down and said: 'The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to match the creation of Allah'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Obey God's commands , Respect for God's creations .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of not trying to imitate the creations of Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came back from a journey and saw that Aishah had hung a curtain with images on it over a niche. He took it down and said that those who try to match the creation of Allah will be severely punished on the Day of Judgment. This means that we should not try to create things like what Allah has created because only He can do so perfectly and any attempt by us would be futile. We should instead focus our efforts on worshipping Him and following His commands in order to gain His pleasure and avoid punishment in the hereafter.
