Fixing Broken Sandals

SUMMARY: One should not walk with one sandal until the broken strap is fixed.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Prophet SAW said: "If the strap of the sandal of one of you breaks, let him not walk in one sandal until he fixes it".
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ نَعْلِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلاَ يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ حَتَّى يُصْلِحَهَا

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad [SAW] taught us that if the strap of our sandals breaks, we should not walk in one sandal until it is fixed. This hadith teaches us to take care of our belongings and to make sure that they are in good condition before using them. It also teaches us to be mindful of our actions and how we present ourselves in public. We should always strive to look neat and tidy even when it comes to something as small as a broken sandal strap. Furthermore, this hadith encourages us to be proactive and take responsibility for fixing any problems that arise instead of ignoring them or leaving them unresolved.
