Revelation of Two Surahs to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was revealed two Surahs, which he had never seen before.

It was narrated from 'Uqbah bin 'Amir that: The Prophet SAW said: "There have been revealed to me Verses the like of which has never been seen: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak'. to the end of the Surah, and 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind'. to the end of the Surah".
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏"‏ أُنْزِلَ عَلَىَّ آيَاتٌ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ ‏{‏ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ‏}‏ إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ وَ ‏{‏ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ‏}‏ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the revelation of two surahs to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The first surah is called "Say I seek refuge with Allah, the Lord of daybreak" and it starts with "Isti'adha". The second surah is called "Say I seek refuge with Allah, the Lord of mankind" and it also starts with "Isti'adha". These two surahs were revealed to him by Allah and they are very special because they have never been seen before. They are a reminder for us that we should always seek refuge in Allah from all evil. We should also remember that He is our Lord and Creator who has power over everything in this world.
