Supplications of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) used to make a supplication to Allah for protection from worry, grief, incapacity, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, debt and being overpowered by other men.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: "The Messenger of Allah SAW had supplications that he never neglected.

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known for his exemplary character and devotion to Allah. He would often make supplications or du'a in order to seek refuge from various difficulties in life such as worry, grief, incapacity or laziness. He also sought protection from miserliness which is an attitude of not wanting to spend money on others or oneself; cowardice which is a lack of courage; debt which can be a burden on one's finances; and being overpowered by other men which could lead one astray from the path of righteousness. This hadith serves as an example for us all that we should turn towards Allah in times of difficulty and ask Him for help with sincerity and humility.
