Sunan Abi Dawud 192 (Book 1, Hadith 192) #20483
Ablution After Eating Cooked Food

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad's last practice was not to perform ablution after taking anything cooked with fire.

Jabir said: The last practice of the Messenger of Allah was that he did not perform ablution after taking anything that was cooked with the help of fire. Abu Dawud said: This is the abridgment of the former tradition.

QUICK LESSONS:
Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness when eating and drinking in order to stay healthy and prevent illnesses from spreading.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the practice of the Prophet Muhammad regarding ablutions. According to Jabir, the last practice of the Messenger of Allah was that he did not perform ablutions after taking anything that was cooked with fire. This means that if someone eats something cooked with fire such as food or drinks hot beverages like tea or coffee they do not need to perform a wudu before praying. This is because these items are considered clean and do not require a person to wash their hands or face before prayer. However, it is important for Muslims to still maintain good hygiene and cleanliness when eating and drinking in order to stay healthy and prevent illnesses from spreading.
