QUICK LESSONS:
Perform ablution after breaking wind during prayer
EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ali ibn Talq states that when a person is in the middle of their prayer and they break wind, they should turn away from the direction of the qibla and perform ablution. This means washing their hands, face, arms up to elbows, wiping their head and feet up to ankles. After this is done, they can then repeat the prayer from where it was left off. This hadith teaches us that we must be mindful of our actions during prayer as it is an act of worship towards Allah SWT. We must also be aware that if something happens which requires us to stop our prayer such as breaking wind or any other reason then we must take care to perform ablution before continuing with our prayers again.
