This hadith explains that in the early days of Islam, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) granted a concession for people to take a bath when there is emission. This was due to an act called Istibra’a, which means to make sure that no drops remain after urinating or defecating. If any drops remain, then it would be necessary for one to perform Wudu’ before performing any prayer or other religious acts. However, since this act was difficult for some people in the early days of Islam, they were allowed to take a bath instead if they experienced emission. This hadith teaches us about how merciful and understanding our beloved prophet was towards his followers and how he always tried his best to make things easier for them while still adhering to Islamic teachings and values.
