Take care with one's personal hygiene; Take care with one's physical appearance; Take care with one's hair

This hadith emphasizes the importance of cleanliness and hygiene, which is a fundamental part of Islamic teachings. It was narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib that the Prophet Muhammad said that if someone who is sexually defiled leaves a spot equal to the breadth of a hair without washing, they will have to suffer an amount of Hell-fire for it. In response to this warning, Ali said he treated his head as an enemy, meaning he cut his hair in order to ensure he was always clean. This hadith teaches us that we should take care in maintaining our personal hygiene so as not to incur any punishment from Allah. We should also be mindful when it comes to our physical appearance; taking care with our hair is important for both health reasons and religious reasons.
