Praying at Al Batha and Napping Before Entering Makkah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) and Ibn 'Umar used to offer prayers at Al Batha (Al Muhassab) and then nap for a short while before entering Makkah.

Ibn 'Umar said "The Prophet offered noon, afternoon, evening and night prayers at Al Batha(i.e, Al Muhassab). He then napped for a short while and then entered Makkah. Ibn 'Umar also used to do so.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَأَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ وَالْمَغْرِبَ وَالْعِشَاءَ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ ثُمَّ هَجَعَ هَجْعَةً ثُمَّ دَخَلَ مَكَّةَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companion, Ibn 'Umar, offering prayers at a place called Al Muhassab or Al Batha. After they finished their prayer, they would take a short nap before entering the city of Makkah. This hadith teaches us that it is important to take time out of our day to pray to Allah SWT as well as taking care of our bodies by getting enough rest. It also shows us that we should be mindful of how we spend our time in order to make sure that we are able to fulfill all our obligations in life.
