The Punishment of Sins on the Day of Judgement

SUMMARY: On the Day of Judgement, those who have committed sins will be punished for them and will suffer in Hell-fire.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah as saying: If anyone drinks poison, the poison will be in his hand (on the Day of Judgement) and he will drink it in Hell-fire and he will live in it eternally.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ مَنْ حَسَا سُمًّا فَسُمُّهُ فِي يَدِهِ يَتَحَسَّاهُ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدًا مُخَلَّدًا فِيهَا أَبَدًا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the punishment that awaits those who have committed sins on the day of judgement. According to this hadith, if someone has done something wrong or sinful in their life, they will be held accountable for it on the day of judgement and they will be punished accordingly. The punishment mentioned here is that they will drink poison and live in Hell-fire eternally. This serves as a reminder to us all to stay away from sinning and strive towards righteousness so that we can avoid such punishments in the hereafter. We should also remember that Allah is All Knowing and He knows our every action so we should always strive to do good deeds instead of bad ones.
