Seek guidance from God before engaging in any activity which could potentially lead us astray from His path

This hadith is about divination by drawing lines, which is a practice of predicting future events or finding lost objects through interpreting patterns made when someone draws lines on the ground. The Prophet Mu'awiyah b. al-Hakam al-Sulami asked the Prophet Muhammad about this practice, and he said that it was permissible if done in the same way as a previous prophet had done.
