The Importance of Taking a Bath on Fridays

SUMMARY: It is compulsory for those who have reached the age of puberty to take a bath on Fridays.

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, "Bath on Friday is compulsory for those who have attained the age of puberty".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِبٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُحْتَلِمٍ
