Writing Down Your Will

SUMMARY: A Muslim should not spend two nights without writing down their will.

Ibn Umar narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said: "A Muslim man has no right to spend two nights while he has something to will, except while his will is recorded with him".

QUICK LESSONS:
Write down one's own wills before spending two nights .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that a Muslim should not spend two nights without writing down their will. This is important because it ensures that the wishes of the person are respected and carried out after they have passed away. It also helps to prevent any disputes or arguments between family members over what the deceased wanted to happen with their possessions and money. By writing down your will, you can make sure that your wishes are followed and respected even after you have gone.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also taught us about being responsible for our actions in life, even when we are no longer here to witness them ourselves. By taking the time to write down our wills, we can ensure that our loved ones know exactly what we want done with our possessions and money once we pass away, thus avoiding any potential conflicts or misunderstandings between family members in the future.
