Jami at-Tirmidhi 1969 (Book 27, Hadith 75) #27602
Caring for Widows & Poor Equals Worship

SUMMARY: Taking care of the poor and widows is a form of worship that is equal to fighting in the cause of Allah or fasting and praying all day and night.

Safwan bin Sulaim narrated that the Prophet said: "The one who looks after a widow and a poor person is like the Mujahid in the cause of Allah, or like the one who fasts all the day and stands (in prayer) all the night".
