Revelation of Verse 19:64

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the revelation of a verse from the Quran, which explains why Jibra'il (Gabriel) does not visit Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as often as he used to.

Narrated Sa'eed bin Jubair: from Ibn 'Abbas who said: "The Messenger of Allah said to Jibra'il: 'What prevents you from visiting us more than you visit us?'" He said: "So this Ayah was revealed: And we descend not except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us". Up to the end of the Ayah (19:64).

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Allah’s commands and strive to obey them at all times .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the revelation of a verse from the Quran. It was narrated by Sa'eed bin Jubair and Ibn 'Abbas that Prophet Muhammad asked Jibra'il why he did not visit him as often anymore. In response to this question, Allah revealed a verse in Surah Maryam which states that Jibra'il only descends with Allah's command. This teaches us that everything we do should be done according to Allah's will and commandment. We should always remember that whatever happens in our lives is part of His plan for us and it is ultimately up to Him what happens next. We should also strive to follow His commands in all aspects of our lives so that we can be successful both in this world and the hereafter.
