QUICK LESSONS:
Respect others' wishes and take into consideration their feelings before making any decision that affects them directly or indirectly.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the consent of a virgin. It states that if a woman is previously married, she can speak for herself and make decisions on her own behalf. However, if she is still a virgin, then her silence will be taken as her consent. This hadith teaches us to respect the wishes of those who are not able to express themselves or do not have the capacity to make decisions on their own behalf. We should always take into consideration their feelings and opinions before making any decision that affects them directly or indirectly.
